Adding drivers to wpa_supplicant

Good evening!

I'm trying to install a D-Link Wireless USB Adapter on my linuxbox. (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=WUA-1340)

But I can't seem to get it working. I try to follow the instructions in the README-file, but though wpa_supplicant starts, it wont recognize the adapter.

Is there an easy way to add those drivers into wpa_supplicant?

Sorry for my bad explanation, I'm just not sure how to adress the problem. Any help would be appriciated :)

Regards

First of all, try to make your driver work without encryption and therefor without wpa_supplicant.
You will need wpa_supplicant only if you going to connect to wireless routers with WPA encryption.

When you will be able to connect to your AP without encryption, you can enable WPA (if you wish to) on your AP and configure wpa_supplicant.conf file with appropriate password/passphrase.
