[Suse 9.3] Problem with Ndiswrapper and WPC54G

I have installed Suse 9.3 on my laptop (Acer 1312 LC). And I have a linksys WPC54G card to connect the internet. Linksys doesn't support linux, so it is necceray to configurate the card with ndiswrapper. I follow the instructions on http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m...p/Installation. But I still get an error when I try the connection with KInternet.

The error is:
Quote:

default route
Invalid default route:
cannot read "/proc/net.route": success

nameserver
name server failure:
adress lookup does not work

First I try to make a default route by entering
Quote:
route default gw 192.168.1.1

but I get the error message that the network isn't reachable, but in iwlist I can see the network!!

For the second error, I look in /etc/resolv.conf for the nameservers, but they are correct:

Quote:
nameserver 192.121.1.34
nameserver 192.121.1.66

So, that is correct (I think), but still there is the error! sad.gif

Can somebody help me with configure my wireless connection?

if ndiswrapper -l lists ure hardware as present try doing the following it worked for me but im on suse 10:

start Yast Control Center
click on network devices on the left panel
click on network card on the right panel
click on the add button on the window that pops up
set these settings:
Device type:
wireless
Configuration name:
0
Hardware Configureation Name:
static-1
Module:
ndiswrapper
Options:

then check the PCMCIA box and it should grey out the boxes above
click next
make sure it says wireless and DHCP is selected on teh next window, then click next then put in the ESSID name and stuff like that and keep clicking next and u hsould be done soon
