well since i started this post i have migrated to kanotix (installed not live)
and i have to say the wireless setup was so easy i just pointed ndiswrapper at my drivers .......voila!!!! that was it and just to show how easy it was !!! there is a kanotix menu with all the internet and network settings in it! so no compiling of source code no head aches of checking dependcies its all there!!!! i know its probably the easy route but thats what i needed so i highly recommend it to anyone who cannott get through the god damn awful process of getting a bug free run of installing ndiswrapper here is the link to the iso image http://kanotix.com/info/index.php?lang=en again i highly recommend this to new linux users as well as experienced users :Pengy: |
Any distro. You can get it running on all distros. Some have a few native drivers with it which is a bonus but if your card isn't supported it doesn't matter anyway.
