vwware esxi 4 pxe installation linux server -- help
hello experts,
can you please help with installing the vmware esxi via pxe installation. I went through lots of blogs but couldnt figure out the solution .. i am stuch looking for the initrd and the bzImage for the installation. any documentation or comments are welcome..any help will be appreciated Thanks a lot in advance.. |
Uh - you've got a VMWare ESXi server, and you're trying to install a guest OS via PXE?
What version of ESXi? What guest OS? Specifically what have you tried? What errors are you getting/problems are you encountering? Please try to give a bit more information... |
no I am trying to install Vmware ESXi 4.0 via pxe onto the server.
not the guest os. I have got a tftp server setup for pxeboot. bot canf find initrd.img and bzImage file to support pxe install. |

Yes, I already extracted all the file from the .iso and got it all set on the server
I am not seeing any initrd.img file and vmlinuz file after extracting the iso.. without that I cannot do PXE boot install... please help... |
