VMWare Converter & Debian - lost eth0 & LVM during conversion

Hi

I used VMWare Converter 4.0.1 to convert Debian to VMWare Infrastructure VM. The conversion went smoothly, but upon completion I could not see any network interfaces ( there were eth0 & eth1 )
After conversion I was getting "eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device" when trying to bring up eth0

I issues ifconfig -a command which showed me eth2 & eth3 interfaces. I was able to bring those up, just wondering why these labels have changed. Any ideas ?

Another thing is that for some reason LVM partition was lost, the VM is using normal ext3 partitions, that were configured on LVM at the physical machine. Idealy I'd like to keep LVM - is it possible ?

more than likely, they changed due to the MAC address changes associated with your p2v. i dont know debian per se, but more than likely you can delete your old eth0/1 config files, and rename(as well as proper edits) the eth2/3 to eth0/1. the 2/3 and were likely automatically on first boot created due to it finding interfaces with MAC addresses other than what it was expecting.

as far as the LVM, how have your verified that the LVM has been eliminated? vgdisplay shows nothing?
