I recently upgraded my virtualbox installation from debian-repository-hosted version 4.1.8 to oracle hosted 4.1.16, due to some features I wanted to use.
I edited my ~/sources.list, updated virtualbox and installing via apt-get I should not have forgot any dependencies (I hope).
since then I get an error message, when starting a virtual machine after new host-system startup, and a message saying
/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup should be executed.
1)That works. (and reinstalls dkms files)
2)What does work also (as root after system startup) is installing module vboxdrv.ko handish and starting vboxdrv:
---# modprobe -a vboxdrv && /etc/init.d/vboxdrv start
3) I tried to fix the automatic startup by binding a small script with these two commands into the system-V start-procedure: doesn't work.
syslog:
warning: 'Virtualbox' uses 32-bit capabilities (legacy support in use)
I want to get the module installed automatically at startup and startup the service then, to be able to start a virtual machine without first configuring system every time.
host systen: AMD 64 bit, Debian squeeze
Does somebody have an idea?
