Trouble increasing container disk size in OpenVZ

Hello everyone! I have a Proxmox server running a minecraft server inside of an openvz container. The disk on the minecraft server running inside the container is full. I have issued the following command to provision more disk space for this container " vzctl set 109 --diskspace 10G:20G --save" after that inside of the container how do I get it to claim that extra disk space? Do I need to add the extra space in another partition? I've not had to do this with a container before and I was thinking that it would just somehow magically allocate the freespace to the root of the containers drive. Alas that does not seem to be the case and I'm out of disk space. How do I get the new disk size to show up in my container?

**** UPDATE ****

Sorry guys I should have checked, my /var/lib/vz mount and it is full so the reason is obviously my drive on the server it's self is full! Looks like I have more to deal with than what I thought.
