simple KVM script

Hi group,

I'm attempting to run a simple KVM script to boot a Debian partition.
The script looks like this:

CMD='virt-install \
              --connect qemu:///system   \
              --name demo                \
              --ram 500                  \
              --disk path=/dev/sda5      \
              --network network=default  \
              --virt-type qemu           \
              --os-variant debianlenny   \
echo $CMD

When I start the VM I get messages that the machine is booting but never get the Grub menu.

Any ideas??

Thanks for your time.
