Smile Rhevm 3.0

From where I can download RHEVM 3.0 packages. I am trying to install RHEV 3 in my environment for testing. I do not have any active subscription and as far as I know Redhat is not providing RHEV-M packages bundled as an ISO.

I have tried downloading individual packages of RHEV-M but I was stuck in a loop of dependecies.

Please help me. Thanx in advance.

how did you have a loop? That shouldn't be possible, just put multiple RPM's on the same command line.

Loop as in I downloaded 94 RPMs related to RHEV-M and then when I tried to install those RPMs I got hell lot of dependencies.

I didn't try to download those dependencies again as it was time consuming. (I hope you are getting it right that I am downloading those RPMs from redhat website indivudually from a channel not using yum).

Thanks

Well clearly RHEV-M will not have 94 packages, you're going wrong somewhere. is your system not up to date in the first place? is that it?

I'm not sure why you are looking at any of this without an RHN subscription though. I've not used RHEV-M but doesn't it require licensing under any circumstance? I guess you can always sign up for a 30 day trial to get it installed properly.

I think you have still not understood my problem.
1. I have 30 day trial version of RHEL machine but it is not subscribed to RHN and do not have internet connectivity to that machine where I want to install RHEV-M
2. I am downloading 94 packages because I don't know what are the explicit packages needed.
3. I am downloading all the packages from my home PC and then shipping it to RHEL machine.

Also I feel you should have a look at RHEV architecture than you would be able to see to my query in a better way.

Also please tell me 1 thing that in a 30-day trial version of RHEL. Can I download packages from RHEL repository??

what ARE these 94 packages? That's a mad number to need for JUST rhev-m...

yes, a trial subscription would give you RHN access, that's just about the only thing it does give you.

Please dont go with that number.
I had no other choice but to search for RHEVM in RHN and then download all the packages listed.

This is the link to the setup guide for the eval:
http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Re...-Install_RHEVM

It lists the exact channels required to run yum install rhevm
