redirecting VM Console log

Hi,

Is there any way to redirect the console log of Guest Linux VM at OS level or Vcentre level.

I am using Linux VMs on ESX 5.0 Host.

Many of times observed that to error/warnings appear at OS level i.e. /var/log/messages, but it appears on VM console.

Is there any way to redirect the logs somewhere so that we can check the real time issue.

Thanks
Rajan
