I installed 14.10 Server and selected virtual machine server.
All went well, could create a virtual machine using virtual manager and see the virtual machine up and running by clicking on it in virtual manager. All seems ok so i started installing virt-viewer on my mac and windows vista pc.
On both these machines i get the following errormessage "Unable to connect to the graphic server spice://IP-ADDRESS:5900", while on the laptop with virtual-manager all works fine..
On both these machines i can access the server cli using ssh so physical and logical connection.
Port 5900 is shown at the details page under "Display VNC".
i guess this has something to do with apparmor settings like allowed hosts or something?
may be hosted based firewall like iptables running in the server where spice installed. check and make sure port 5900 is allowed in all your firewall..
Port 5900 is accessible.
But meanwhile i found that the VM is linked to ip localhost instead of the bridged ip address of the server.
Since virt-manager works over ssh this explains why it can only be accessed through virt-manager.
Howto solve this?
