odd virtualbox isue

my real machine has a gigabyte ga-ma78GM-s2h motherboard whith a quad core phenom processor which i recently flashed to bios version F11

i have the virtualization option enabled in BIOS

prior to this i had created a vbox virtual machine that runs an os/2 warp installation (just for fun)

prior to flashing the system it worked now i get virtualbox giving me an error

VT-x/AMD-V hardware has been enabled, but is not operational. yada yada yada

I can imagine there is some interaction with the VM on the host and the host's BIOS. In this case I would recommend to reinstalled Virtualbox, including compiling the kernel module, and point it to your VDI once it is installed. So you should leave your VDI untouched, only reinstall Virtualbox, not your guest.

Does it get the errors if you turn off the hardware acceleration?
