network issue on RHEL 6 virtual host insllation
hi,
i installed RHEL 6 as virtual host on one of the blades on HP enclosure. i set up network on eth0 and started it but i can not even ping gateway from within this installation. i logged in as root. i set up everything such as IP, netmask, gateway, nameserver etc. anyone has any clue ?

Make sure that the host is physically connected to the network. Could be a misconfig in HP blade management as well. Run 'ethtool eth0' and see if it says link detected: yes at the end. If it says 'no', you don't have physical connection. Also, could be that your link is up, but the switch port is configured for a specific VLAN. Check with blade and network admins.
