need help regarding virtualization
 
hi
i installed ubuntu 9.04 using virtual box...it ran smoothly, but after i installed guest add-ons it runs slowly.any suggestions how this can be corrected?

Might be that your computer isn't quite up to the task. See taskman or perfmon for more details on resource used.

See also virtualbox forums for any like problems.

You can't uninstall but you can disable to test. http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?p=18749

i dont think that my laptop's resources are a problem here...im running the vbox on a p8600 2.4core2duo with 4gigs ram, 3mb cache and 320hd

two ideas:
you still gotta xorg.conf in the guest system? if so check if the correct video driver is in there (should be "vboxvideo" iirc). it sometimes doesnt get in there automatically.
try if changing the VirtualBox->Settings->graphics from 128-64 will give you better performance.
