Moving a VM between two computers, is that feasible?

Hi everyone!

I would like to ask you a question about virtual machines.

I currently have Fedora 10 running on my laptop and on it, I have a virtual Windows XP machine that runs thanks to VirtualBox. Now I want to do a clean install of Fedora 12 on that same laptop and I was wondering if it was possible to take my actual Windows VM, save it somewhere (an external drive) and put it back on my system once I'm done installing F12. In other words, I would like to do a VM "transplant", if I may use the expression, so I could avoid going through all the whole installation of XP and my software all over again.

Is such a process feasible or not?

Thank you for your time

Or you can manually save and restore the virtual machines' definitions (~/.VirtualBox/Machines/*) and .vdi files
