libvirt install with kvm (from source)
Hello friends,
I have been using a KVM from source installation and would like to get it working with libvirt. When I install libvirt using apt-get and try to use it to install a VM, I get the message: ERROR Host does not support any virtualisation options Apparently the solution to this is to install a later version of libvirt. I installed the latest version from source, the readme didn't mention anything about configuring options for KVM so I just did a regular install, and when I tried to start virsh, I get the error message: virsh: error while loading shared libraries: libvirt.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I can't figure out how to solve either of these problems. Can anybody help please? |
check if virtualisation enabled in bios?

Everything works on the KVM, which I am able to use by itself. However I would like to make KVM work with libvirt, which is what I am having problems with.
