Hi I tried to install VM via KVM. But there's an error that I cannot solve even searching on internet.
Here is the command I use,
Code:
sudo virt-install --name=testvm --arch=x86_64 --vcpus=1 --ram=512 --os-type=linux --nographics -v --network bridge:virbr0 --disk path=/kvm/testvm.img,size=8,sparse=false -l /kvm/isos/CentOS-7-x86_64-Minimal-1804.iso --initrd-inject=/kvm/ks.cfg --extra-args='ks=file:/ks.cfg console=ttyS0'
I see some booting messages until this error came,
Code:
[ 6.242984] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI disk
[ 6.150136] dracut-initqueue[691]: mount: /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
[ 6.536060] loop: module loaded
[ 132.952709] dracut-initqueue[691]: Warning: dracut-initqueue timeout - starting timeout scripts
[ 133.494025] dracut-initqueue[691]: Warning: dracut-initqueue timeout - starting timeout scripts
[ 134.024480] dracut-initqueue[691]: Warning: dracut-initqueue timeout - starting timeout scripts
That dracut-initqueue is the problem, until it drops me to dracut shell.
Starting Dracut Emergency Shell...
Generating "/run/initramfs/rdsosreport.txt"
Entering emergency mode. Exit the shell to continue.
Type "journalctl" to view system logs.
You might want to save "/run/initramfs/rdsosreport.txt" to a USB stick or /boot
after mounting them and attach it to a bug report.
dracut:/#
But upon exiting dracut shell it continues to boot until it reach the iso image and all will be fine. Installation will be successful.
I want to sort that dracut thing so I dont need to be in my pc when installing. Please anyone help.
Here's the full log hope this can help to sort out things.
