How to connect to a VM from remote machine
Currently got a number of different virtualization hosts working, Hyper-V, Virtualbox and QEMU-KVM. Next thing to try and do is to connect to these remotely, preferrably from a light Linux machine of some sort.
If I have understood this correctly, KVM can be connected to using Xorg but both Virtualbox and Hyper-V require an RPC connection. Can Linux make remote RPC connections or is RPC windows only? What would be the best very light Linux to install on an old computer to act as this remote workstation? Thanks, Nick Edit: Is it possible to access a Windows Virtualbox host from a Linux guest? |
I'd strongly suggest you work to not give a crap that these machines are VM's in the first place. Use SSH / NX or Remote Desktop, not hypervisor specific methods.
