Host and guest
I am using RHEL5 as Host and use Vmware Workstation to XP as guest .
I have configured My host RHEL5 as a router,now how will I make the guest as a client ,so that it gets connected to he outside world bythe host router.
None of the 4 network options ,works like this.

Configure the vmware network adapter configurations usually you will have
x.x.x.2 as router in vmware and the NAT or bridged adapter should be configured to an ip and DNS of your Network should be configured.
try - "system-config-network" - to configure a static or dynamic IP and configure DNS to reach out
