files and directories created under ocfs2 visible from only one node

I have created an ocfs2 partition accessed by 2 nodes running xen 4.0. I noticed that initially all files created by either node was visible to the other node. But now I am noticing that a simple text file or directory created from one node is not visible from the other node. Why would this be? I don't have processes running that would lock the file. Is this an ocfs2 file/permissions problem? Is there an ocfs2 command I can run to render the shared osfs2 files and directors visible to all nodes, or is this an ocfs2 configuration problem?
