Failed to install VirtualBox 4.1 on CentOS 6 x86_x64.

Hello,

I am trying to install virtualbox on CentOS 6.0 and getting this error message.

[root@localhost ~]# rpm -ivh /home/sandy/VirtualBox-4.1-4.1.4_74291_rhel6-1.i686.rpm
warning: /home/sandy/VirtualBox-4.1-4.1.4_74291_rhel6-1.i686.rpm: Header V4 DSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID 98ab5139: NOKEY

emitted during module compilation will be logged to /var/log/vbox-install.log.

Uninstalling old VirtualBox DKMS kernel modules [ OK ]
Trying to register the VirtualBox kernel modules using DKMS [FAILED]
(Failed, trying without DKMS)
Recompiling VirtualBox kernel modules [ OK ]
Starting VirtualBox kernel modules [ OK ]

After this I am able to open VirtualBox but when I create any vm machine and try to start the machine , it fails.

I get this error message after starting the vm machine.

RTR3Init failed with rc=-1912 (rc=-1912)

The VirtualBox kernel modules do not match this version of VirtualBox. The installation of VirtualBox was apparently not successful. Executing

'/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup'

Hi

I have the same problem and after installing the expansion pack and running "/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup" I receive the error "Kernel driver not installed (rc=-1908)" and to check the log file. I checked the log file and there was this:
"Makefile:172: *** Error: unable to find the sources of your current Linux kernel. Specify KERN_DIR=<directory> and run Make again. Stop."

Have you installed DKMS, build tools, and kernel headers? if not, install them and try again. My guess is you're missing dkms
