disabled iptables

Ok here is my problem. I have kvm working. I can use virt-manager and start my virtual guests with no problem. My virtual guest is win7. The guest is receiving a ipaddress but does not have internet. When I go to my host and check my iptables, they are not running. I hope someone can bring up some light for me. I have been trying for days to get this working. I have a bridge setup and everything.

Thanks

Have you tried something as simple as "iptables -F" to eliminate the possibility that its a firewall issue?
