Converting Linux VMs with XenConvert

I was just reading through the XenConvert user guide and under knwn limitations it has, 'XenConvert only supports converting from a volume formatted with NTFS.' does this mean that it can't convert VMs with Linux file systems e.g. ext2/3? If so, what method would people suggest to do so?

Hi -

You're correct - I believe "XenConvert" is specifically for Windows.

But yes, Xen definitely provides P2V tools for Linux, too. For example:

Thanks for the answer but I'm looking at how to convert VMs with a Linux guest from VMWare Server 2 (VMDK) format in a V2V conversion, does anyone know how I can do this?

I've found this
http://unixfoo.blogspot.com/2008/12/...onversion.html
which seems to do the job but I'd rather not have to install qemu just to do the conversions XenConvert can't handle. I'd prefer one tool where I could do everything-preferably one with a GUI if there is one.
