Bridged connection problem, can ping but cannot telnet !

Hi there,
I have a problem with guess host use Bridged Network on VMWare. I install the guest OS CentOS (192.168.1.37 )on host Windows XP SP2 (192.168.1.33), I try to use bridged-connection so the guess can appears as an additional server on the same physical Ethernet network as my host. My problem is:
My guess can ping any ip on network, access internet, access other services on my XP host, BUT on my host I cannot telnet any port to the guess, when I "telnet 192.168.1.37 22" the terminal turn black and wait something.
Any help ? Many thanks.
Note: I turned off firewall on guest & host. OpenSSH is running on guest.

How do other host to guest services perform? For example, how does the Samba server on the guest do? Can you access a Samba share on the guest from the host?

Cannot access anything to guest from host except ping command. But when I use other machine in network (IP 192.168.1.38), from it I can ssh to the host and anything too. So my supposition is: you cannot access the guess from host on same machine. Is it right ?

I can't say with any confidence using Windows as the host, but certainly with a Linux host when the setup is correct you can.

Out of curiosity what does your routing table look like on the host?
