Question SBLUG - Shreveport/Bossier Linux Users Group

Hi All.

I'm wondering if the old, Shreveport/Bossier Linux User's Group is still alive and well? I know there was a group down in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but not any others, besides these two. I'd love to start one, but so far, I would be the ONLY member. Is there anyone near the Shreveport/Bossier area (Northwest Louisiana) that could help me learn Linux? Preferably Xbuntu 11.4. If not, I'll take all the help I can get, LOL!

If you live in the United States, I have free, Long-distance on my at home VOIP Comcast 'phone and we could "talk". I promise not to be a pest. I have medical problems and spend a lot of time in hospital, so I won't be calling every day. I'm willing to study, on my own, if pointed in the right direction and book.

Well, It's 1AM, 0600 hrs Zulu and I must get to bed. I got chilled earlier and went to bed at 7:15 (0015 Z) and slept until midnight, (0500Z).

Buck, I'm not sure if you remember me, but I'm Chris from the SBLUG group. I maintained the wiki and such. The group is completely dead and disbanded.

However, I'd like to chat with you about amateur radio. Can you IM, IRC, or email me? My info is on my site, which is in my profile here. It won't let me link to my site, since I just registered and haven't posted elsewhere.

I'm in the area and would be interested in a LUG.
