Hi, Does anyone know how to reach the Malaysia LUGs? E.g. the KL or Penang groups? I wish to circulate a job ad to them.

Hmmm

Yeah, it's quite hard to get LUGs people. I am a newbie and just set up a Ubuntu server for AAA purposes with help of course.

I would like to know more Linux users, and I have a dream of eventually gathering like minded people together for business purposes. I myself am not a computer person, but I try. I know squat about programming ,etc but enough to know that Linux will be a major impact in the near future.

For me .. I usually will go to forum.lowyat.net and there is a Linux and Open Source thread there.

I've seen some threads on some gathering and I think it's more people there than in here ... (just my opinion )

There is one by Multimedia University (MMU), Melaka called Linux Special Interest Group (Linux SIG).
It is managed by students of the university, but the members in the web site consists of people outside of the univ, lecturers, staffs and of course the univ. students as well.

The web site is linuxsig.net .

I think I'm the person you looking too.
It is true hard to get a LUG in Johor, thats why I create a new one at "http://www.extraknowledge.org" few month ago, currently already conduct 2 training to few members.

Untill now, I found starting a LUG is much more easy than finding an active members. Hope you can become my active members. Cheers.

*Please read my Intro and FAQ carefully cause my direction may difference with yours.
