LUG for central-east Oregon / central west Idaho?

I'm in Weiser, Idaho. I can see Oregon from my house. The border is about two blocks west of me.

A LUG for this area would cover Weiser, Payette, Fruitland, Idaho and Ontario and Nyssa, Oregon. Perhaps Parma and Midvale, Idaho.

Hi...

Are you looking for a LUG to be started in your area or just wondering if there is one? From what I see, the one in Boise is one of the closest, if not the closest, not that helps much, since it's a ways away. I didn't see one for your specific area.

Regards...

You might check out the Linux Lugcast, which is an online LUG created primarily for persons who don't have LUGs in their area. All are welcome.

They have their meetings via Mumble on Friday evenings, so I don't join them because it's Friday evening, but I do listen to their podcasts.

Starting one would be a good thing. Don't know how successful it would be. I tried a few years ago to start an Anime and Sci-Fi club in this area, zero interest, and I know there's plenty of fen around this area.

I've only has slight contact with Linux, despite having worked with computers since 1983. (CP/M, DOS, Windows, pre-OSX Mac) Mostly using Linux based rescue CDs to recover files from and fix forgotten passwords on Windows.
