Thumbs up Baltimore MD?


Are there any LUGs in or within traveling distance of Baltimore MD?

A web search for "linux user group baltimore" turns up a number of links, but some of the groups appear to be defunct. There's one in Columbia which appears to be active. There appears to be one at UMBC which is active during the school year.

If no one here at LQ has personal knowledge of functioning LUG in that part of Maryland, you could try following up on that.

Good luck. I know from personal experience how nice it is to walk into a room and say "/etc/fstab" and have everyone know what you mean.

I actually go to UMBC and sit on their mailinglist, although I'm not really an active member of their LUG. They can provide a lot of support and help, and Linux comradery, but let me warn you - they seem to be very, very, centered on Ubuntu as the primal distro.

UMBC is in Arbutus near CCBC.
