Zone Minder

Has anyone ever tried Zone Minder? I downloaded it today however I am wondering if you guys have had any issues and or problems getting this working on a Linux box?

It appears it is SQL dependant but looks like a nice tool none the less. I want it to keep an eye on my dog while I am at work.

Thanks for any information...

I haven't tried it personally, but I have seen other people getting it to work successfully on a Linux box. They were using Slackware.

I think it is an excellent piece of software though. Who wants to look through hours of security footage, when you can look at just the relevant bits.

Yes, I too agree that the software is an amazing idea! I am just a little confused about the requirements and how to install it. Hell, I don't even know if it works on 64 bit architecture.
