Zipped files in Linux

I zipped an entire directory of music in Linux and am now trying to open them in Windows. Although it was saved as an .zip file, I can't seem to open it in Windows with WinZip.

Are all these songs long gone?

(I have to open them in Windows only)

Thanx.

The open source version of unzip is available on Windows too. You can get it here.

I've used zip in Linux many times to give files to Windows users ... Nobody ever had trouble unpacking them.
