Zinf unkillable & usurping memory?

uname -r == 2.6.14-1.1656_FC4
(x86_64)

Zinf is unkillable and is running rampant on my machine. The only thing I can think of is to restart, having reniced it to 19 to no avail.

It's taking up 2,233,028 KB of virtual memory. That's pretty inexcusable. Load is as follows, and is laughable:

load average: 1021.60, 1019.82, 1018.83

I've tried kill -9 [Zinf_PID] and it won't die. Same with "killall -9 zinf".

Also tried stopping & restarting the sound server; no luck.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, either upgrade/downgrade zinf to a version that doesn't do that, or use something else such as xmms.
And file a bug with the zinf developers.
