There you go. In /etc/modprobe.conf or whatever Suse uses to probe modules on startup, you'll need to add lirc_dev and the modules for your remote. If there isn't a module for yours specifically, just load the generic one (lirc_driver maybe...?) and then your conf file should be enough for it to work properly
Once you've done that, you should get a /dev/lirc0 device which will need to be chmodded to 0666 so everybody has access to it
