I have had this problem ever since i install FC5 it is a fresh install I first had a can not find or read from repomd.xml from repodata/repomd.xml. So I created the directory in /etc/yum.repos.d. Then I foud the file and put it in there then I got a can not read from comps.xml so I found that file then I got a can not read from or find primary.xml.gz do I found it and put in the /etc/yum.repos.d/repodata folder that I created then I ran yumex and it started finally after like week. Now I am back at the drawing board. I just restarted my machine and I am back at the can not read from or find repomd.xml so I did a #yum update repomd.xml and it seems like it downloaded the file then i did a yumex again and it went through now I am back at the comps.xml. I just did yum update comps.xml and nothing I just replaced the file and I am still getting (failure: repodata/comps.xml from core: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.) this is a nightmare.

I replaced the repomd.xml comps.xml and the primary.xml.tz and now it works again I dont know whats going on.

Also Note that my add remove software on FC5 was not working it kept giving me an error but now that yumex works it is working as well.
