yum not resolving dependency?

hi. im trying to use yum to install scribus. after issuing yum install scribus i get this reponse.

Code:
Error: Missing Dependency: python = 2.3.4-11 is needed by package tkinter
i thought rpm was suppose to resolve the depencency? rpm -qa shows i have python-2.3.4-13.1. So by the equal sign does that means i have to have that exact version of python? I tried downloading 2.3.4-11 and installing it with --force --replacepkgs and --oldpackages but i can't get it to downgrade. Is downgrading necessary? Thanks for any replies in advance.

Did you try again? How are your repos set up? The newest version of tkinter in FC3 is 2.3.4-13.1; so somehow you didn't get that version.

well what happened is i was having issues with yum so i reinstalled it and forgot to keep the repo directory backed up. So i got the fedora base and extras repo config on fedoratracker. i added freshrpms and dag but it doesn't seem to search those as far as i can tell. In their repo file i have enable=0. (I copied it from a site) Is it supposed to be 1? thanks for your reply.

Did you forget the updates-released repo?

i probably did. I remember there being three main fedora ones but couldn't remember them all. I only copied down the ones i saw on the fedora tracker. I'll try to find that one on there, but at least this experience made me have to understand the format of the .repo files a little better so if i find the base url i think i can write it myself.

ok i got the update repo working no problem. now i get this error when i try to install scribus.

Code:
Downloading Packages:
warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 1ac70ce6
public key not available for scribus-1.2.4.1-1.fc3.i386.rpm
it looks like re-installing yum messed with the keys too. i tried these commands.

Code:
rpm --import http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/3/i386/os/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora
and

Code:
rpm --import http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/3/i386/os/RPM-GPG-KEY
and

Code:
 rpm --import http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/3/i386/os/RPM-GPG-KEY-beta
what keys am i suppose to import? thanks for any replies in advance.

according to this site. http://www.fedorafaq.org/#gpgsig the fedora key is at

Code:
rpm --import /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY*
i've tried that but i get this error.

Code:
error: /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY*: import read failed.
so i assume that is not the right location. I kind of know what the keys are for but i haven't delt much with keys. Does anyone know a good tutorial on them? Thanks for any replies in advance.
