yum

Hi,

I have another question.When I try to install an app via yum,99% of the times it doesn't find the app.For example if I do
Code:
yum install blackbox
it says
Code:
Error:Bad repository file ///etc/yum.repos.d/atrpm.repo.
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files
No match for argument:blackbox
Nothing to do
Is this normal?Or does it fail to find the package because of that error?

Thanx in advance

Which Fedora Core do you have? What repositories do you have enabled? Can you post your /etc/yum.conf and all the files in /etc/yum.repos.d/ ?

Quote:
# Note: This file is no longer the entire yum configuration
# for fedorafaq.org. See fedorafaq
# for details on how to set up your system with the new
# yum configuration.

[main]
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
debuglevel=2
logfile=/var/log/yum.log
pkgpolicy=newest
distroverpkg=redhat-release
tolerant=1
exactarch=1
obsoletes=1
# We don't want to gpg-check local, unsigned packages
#gpgcheck=1
# Changed this because some mirrors go down and then
# re-trying takes forever.

timeout=10

# PUT YOUR REPOS HERE OR IN separate files named file.repo
# in /etc/yum.repos.d
There are two files in my yum.repos.d.:atrpms.repo and CentOS-Base.repo.Thanx for trying to help

Post the contents of your /etc/yum.repos.d/atrpm.repo file. These *.repo files contain information that YUM uses to find the repository like URL addresses and such. Your yum.conf file does not conain any information about any repositories.
