Yum-2.4.0


hi guys,
i have this problem regarding my yum in suse 10.0... i installed the package... i used it after but i'm having a problem with my repository.... i cant copy headers on it.... can somebody help me....

yum is a very nice tool but how can i used it without a repository... located in /etc/yum.repos.d...

do you have any real error messages? what you describe doesn't sound much like sense to me.

here are some mesage when i try to install using YUM

right so show us your yum.conf and everything in yum.repos.d. i'd bet your yum.conf does tell yum to include the repos directory.

my yum.config loacted at the folder yum-0.8.4a......

/etc/yum.repos.d is empty and cannot write a file in it....

you can't write to it? if you are root you can write to anywhere...

you don't know to to log in as root?? just go to a console login, and log in using "root" and the root password alternatively when logged in as a normal user run "su -" and eneter the root password.
