YouTube sound messed up

As of about an hour ago, whenever I play a youtube video the sound is abominable - saturated, crackling and echoing. I think it happened when I installed alsa-oss to get realplayer audio to work.

Sound in AVI files is fine.

What do I need to do to fix it? (bit vague, I know)
