yellow dog 6.1 adobe flash player 10 help

Ok, well I am new to the whole linux thing and i installed it on my ps3. I have ydl 6.1 and am currently running seamonkey web browser. Now i went to and dloaded the new version of flash player and fallowed instructions on installing it. now when i look in add/remove program it is there but when i check in the web browser it is not... almost like it is installed but not in the browser. is there something i am missing? or is there something i can do to get this working? Please remember I am new to this so step by step help would be really helpfull, thank u

This might sound stupid but did you already have flash installed and you upgraded it to 10 or is it new? I'm not too keen on yellow dog but can you use firefox?
