Yellow Dog 6.1

I have Yellow Dog 6.1 installed on my PS3 and I have a few issues I would like to resolve...

1) The wireless connection in YDL 6.1 for some reason does not work. If I hook up my network cable to it, it works fine. How might I be able to get the wirless working?

2) I am trying to install WINE or QEMU so that I can run windows based programs in it. I have heard stories of both working, and stories of WINE not working for this...which one should I use and how might I go about installing it? I have looked on both WINE and QEMU sites and it confuses me to no end

Can anyone help with either of these?

WICD is the program that comes with it and you need to see it that is your little icon there click it and tell it to use the wlan0 put in your pass phrase if your wifi connection is secured.
... YDL Menu ==> Applications ==> Internet ==> Wicd Network Manager.
