Yellow Dog

Yellow Dog
I'm trying to install Yellow Dog Linux for Power PC onto my old iMac

It seemed to work and it sayed "you can safely reboot now" and when I did it started back but as Mac OS 9. It never asked me for disc 2 or anything, did I burn the disc incorrectly, it did work, did I mess up my HD? Do I need to just repeat the process?
Thanks for any help in advance,
Moloko23

The YellowDog install guide mentions something about certain iMacs with drives over 30GB. Dunno if that is relevant.

You can also try another distro. Almost all major distros, Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora Core, Mandriva, Suse, Gentoo, and many others support your iMac.

Ok thanks a lot spooon for your help. I dowmloaded Debian last night and was trying to get help on their IRC channel for pretty much the whole night, in the end I failed to install it onto my mac once again and have run out of CD-R's so I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow, when I can get some more CDs and try it once again, I'll go with the netinstall this time. I hope I'll get things working soon.
thanks again,
Moloko23
