I ran yast online update, the patches are running now for almost 3 days. It seems to be hooked. How can I terminate it ?

Thank you for your answer. How to killall yast2 I type killall yast2 in line command (terminal), but yast is still running.

Type ctrl+alt+esc and the cursor will turn to a skull and crossbones. Put this on the application that is hung and press enter. This will kill the application right away.

Press the Ctrl Alt and Esc keys on the keyboard at the same time. The pointer will turn into a skull and crossbones. Put that over the application that has hung. Either left click on the mouse or press enter and the window the pointer is over will close. Be careful though, if you click on the desktop with the skull, it will close out X completely. You can hit the Esc key again to go back to a regular pointer.
