yahoo messenger on fedora error
 

hi,

i installed ymessenger rpm as root ..now every time i run ymessenger as regular user it work fine untill i quit the program thats when i get " couldn't write to '/home/user/.ymessenger/preferences'".
can anybody help? it sounds like i need t change the owner from root to regular user how wold i do that? or what do u think is going on?

try as root--->

#chmod u+rwx -R /home/user/.ymessenger/

Or, delete /home/user/.ymessenger/preferences and run ymessenger again. It should create a new file with the right permissions.
