Yahoo messenger for linux wont install??
 
I downloaded the rh9 version of yahoo messenger and when i try to install it it says segmentation fault. . shouldnt the rh9 version work for pretty much any new distro? I'm on SuSE 8.2 Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, I've been trying to install gaim 0.70 but there are wierd problems with glib 2.0 and gtk+2.0 I have them both installed but gaim will not install it tells me i dont have them, or i need to edit the PKG_CONFIG_PATH or something and I have no idea what that is. Ultimatly I would rather have Gaim working. I posted on another thread about this. Right here.

Any help would be much appreciated.

On a side note, Yahoo have changed their messaging protocols to block 3rd party clients. Patches will probably be forthcoming though.
