yahoo chat clients that dont suck

i know this might be impossible but im looking for a yahoo chat client that will actually let me into yahoo chats. i know gaim does this but it doesnt seem to actually block bots and/or spammers. i have gotten IMs from bots and the like that i know for a fact that are on my ignore list. also is there any way i can perminantly ignore people that i just chose to ignore in the general chat?

suggestions, alternate programs, anything is appriciated
