Xwindows terminal corruption after logoff

Ok, when I log out of xwindows, my terminal is corrupted, some times I can see text, other times I cannot. The whole screen turns a shade of red with a purple border around the whole screen.

Any ideas?

Just questions ...

What driver are you using for the framebuffer,
which one for X?

Cheers,
Tink

I get something similar with nvidia drivers - green blocks instead of text
I would see if theres a users forum for your card/drivers manufacturer - maybe theres a solution there, although theres not been any response from nvidia about this for me, maybe you will have better luck

Ok, I set the driver to VESA and it works, but, of course I get no openGL support, but then again, I don't even know if that driver is supported for 3d anyway. So, thats how you fix it if anyone else needs to know.

Excellent job - and for future reference: no bumping of
posts until 24 hours have passed. It's in the rules.
