I've had a little expierence with red hat linux and I have had v. 7.2 (this same version i'm using now) on my machine before.
The problem is when I try to startx or try to login using the graphical login. the screen will display a sieres of discolerd garbage and I cant make anything out. The mouse works and I can see that but the desktop is distorted and non-functional.
When I log in in text mode the shell works fine.
Ive tryed alot of things but I just cant get it working.
Heres my system:
P2 400
196 mb ram
Ati radion 7000 64mb (the install detects my card as ati genaric)
Genaric monitor
Obviosly it is a graphics problem but I just cant fix it.
Any help would be great
