Xwindow error invalid window size 3

When I reboot Fedora8 with a 854G video chipset, X windows doesnot start. tty1 goes to text, I then can use tty7 ok. I do not understand what is happening. Can some pls explain?

Well, be more descriptive. You have X-windows when you alt-F7? How do you start x? Do you start x? Man, fedora is messed up. But fine. How do you login. You login through text at tty1 first, then can have X in tty7? Or you have X in tty7 wi/o any issue? Basically what i'm gettin at is that You're not being very descriptive. BE MORE DESCRIPTIVE. Chipset /shouldn't/ matter with redhat. BUT. Answer the questions.
