Xview not connecting to X with Fedora Core release 2.91 (FC3 Test 2)
When I try to run a program that uses Xview on my local machine with a new Fedora Core release 2.91 (FC3 Test 2) installed I get the following error:
XView warning: Cannot load font '-b&h-lucida-medium-r-*-*-*-140-*-*-*-*-*-*' (Font package)
XView warning: Cannot load font '-b&h-lucida-medium-r-normal-sans-*-120-*-*-*-*-*-*' (Font package)
XView error: Cannot open connection to window server: :0.0 (Server package)
However, if I set the DISPLAY to another computer running RH9 it displays fine on the RH9 monitor.
On the new system the firewall is disabled. I can display non Xview programs just fine. I assume that this Fedora X server is set up with some type of security that doesn't allow Xview or that it is otherwise incompatible with Xview. It is an xorg-x11-6.8.0 installation. I am looking for suggestions on what to look for.
