Xubuntu - burning playlist as data CD

Hello, so the above title is what I tried to do. The option is available in Amarok to do this and it has a progress bar saying that this has been done. I cannot see what it has done or more importantly, it has not been burned to a disc.

Does anyone know about the nuances of burning audio tracks to a CD in Xubuntu. I suppose the last resort would be to do some manual copying, but if I can find a better way, that would be good.

Thanks,
S

what do you mean by manual copying? usually burning to cd is done by Brasero or K3burn.

Yes, that's what I mean - meant "not using Amarok's plugin". It seems/seemed like the perfect thing - build a playlist and it burns the data files to a data CD. I guess I will play around with it a bit more or even write my own script to turn read playlist files and copy the files to a CD - seems simple enough...
