When using mysql and select data from a table with many fields it wraps and becomes unreadable. I am using Xterm in a redhat 9 box with fluxbox 0.1.14. Is there a solution to this. Please help
To scroll horizontally in xterm, use Shift+PgUp or Shift+PgDown. aterm and some other terminal emulators support Shift+UpArrow and Shift+DownArrow to scroll one line at a time as well.
Ok cool i'll check it out, though it does not seem it would solve the problem with queries returned from a Mysql SELECT. Let say I have a table with 100 fields( really exagerated ) and I query for a record. The problem arises when the record is displayed, the lines are wrapped which makes it practicly unreadable.
Yuck I say!!! I am trully surpised there isnt a terminal that contain features such as the MS-DOS command prompt, with it I am able to set the width size and have the scroll bar(horizontall) pop up.
